Your garage door won't open:
bulletVisually inspect the door for a broken spring or broken cable; if either is broken, please call a trained professional for repairs.
bulletBe sure the door is not locked.
bulletDisconnect the door from the opener and open it manually. If you are unable to raise the door the counterbalance system is likely the cause, please call a trained professional for repairs.
bulletCheck to see if power is on (check breakers).
bulletCheck to see if the door is frozen down due to ice or snow. 
bulletCheck to see if the photo eyes are aligned (solid light indicates proper alignment), and free from an obstruction, including dirt and cobwebs.
